When the majority of us started playing golf we wanted to save on money. After all once you paid for your equipment and the green fees you had already racked up quite a bill. At first carrying your golf bag around the course did not seen like such a chore or problem. Just like the rest of us you did that for a few games and then figured out that carrying your own golf clubs is for the birds.

The next round of golf you played you kicked in the extra few bucks and decided to rent a golf cart. There are so many benefits to using golf carts ranging from keeping your back and arms from getting tired from lugging you golf bag all over creation to giving you a place to sit and stay dry if the weather turns bad. I have been in electric ones that had so much low end torque that they got me and a pal up an incline that would challenge most gas powered vehicles. Many of you are not very mechanically inclined so the fact is that the maintenance of all of my vehicles needs to be easy and that is a benefit that the electric vehicles give you.

If you have children that enjoy driving around your property or you are teaching a child to play the game of golf and you want to let them navigate the course with you then you can be comfortable in the idea of them driving since you can control the speed. Since electric golf carts are virtually silent they are looked upon well by tons of golf clubs in the country in addition to state parks and recreational facilities giving you more freedom to use you cart whenever you want.

Gas powered vehicles tend to be made of stronger and more sturdy materials than are electric ones. If you by chance run into a large object the gas carts are more likely, in our experience, to fair better. Lots of the gas powered carts are made of materials like steel and other forms of metal instead of fiberglass so when they hit things they can dent or scratch instead of crack and fall to pieces.

Another benefit to gas golf carts over electric golf carts is that a tank of gas can usually get you further than a full charge on the battery. This is important because if you plan on using your cart for a long window of time you will not find yourself broken down and in need of assistance. You can carry spare gas cans if needed instead of waiting many hours for another charge. In the power department, golf carts have really improved of the recent years and the electric ones really have some guts but they cannot seem to compare to the gas carts in this department.

For many people the comparison is in one side’s favor and they will never switch over to the other. Which is better and what about used golf carts? It is not up to us to decide for you.
